Open Session for Wednesday July 21st, 2004

  • Today's Activity: Farewell to Swifty at Powell's far
  • Appearances: New Salem Precinct

Hello!

The elections were yesterday, and I think we've surprised some folks- we came in at 31% of the votes for the District 2 seat, compared to my 'main competitor' who only drew 35% after spending over $20000!

I'm hoping we can get some other people interested in the campaign now! that we can claim viability.

We went early this morning to wish Swifty a fond fairwe..  Can't find the clips on TV yet (we had reporters from NBC, Chattanooga channel 5, and FOX network.

So what is on your mind today???

Open Session for Tuesday July 20th, 2004

  • Today's Activity: PRIMARY ELECTION VOTING
  • Appearances: Rossville & Chickamauga
  • Upcoming: CHAT WITH SADIE Wed night

Hello!

Did you VOTE?  Today was GA's Primary election.  We know we are going on to November's ballot since I had no opposition in the Primary, but we are ready to work now to win the next General Election.

After voting this morning, we went down to Democratic Headquarters in Chickamauga to hang-out with other REAL Democrats.  Enjoyed the breath of fresh air there, and was able to get some very useful information which enables me to do more with our voter lists.

David had the photo there and standing proudly at the entrance to the Headquarters building.

We are all eager to see the election results tonight!

Open Session for Monday July 19th, 2004

  • Today's Activity: Donkey Sign
  • Appearances: Kmart for Paint
  • Upcoming: PRIMARY ELECTION TOMORROW!

Hello!

What's on your mind today?  This morning David brought over the soon-to-be-famous Democrat Donkey sign for painting.  When it's all done we'll post photos for you to see.  We want to have it ready to take to Headquarters in the morning to "hang-out" all day for our GA Primary Election.

Tomorrow night we should have some better idea what kind of race we're going to have the next three months - issue focused or down & dirty.

Add your comments and get this our board rolling!

Sunday's Activites

  • Today's Activity: "Outfoxed"
  • Appearances: Ringgold GA
  • Upcoming: Rossville Library on Tuesday

This evening we went to an event in Ringgold where we were able to view the new MoveOn.com video, "Outfoxed".

There were 9 of us in attendance. After watching the video (no real surprises) we had no qualms about signing the petition to challenge the claim of Fox News that it is "Fair and Balanced".

At the conclusion of the viewing, there was a conference call from MoveOn which included Al Franken and other speakers.  We were there from 6pm until 10pm.

Our hostess put on a great event, with plenty of snacks and drinks to make the evening all the more enjoyable.  Many thanks to her for all her efforts in this endeavor!
